The CW era belt plate, or whatever it turns out to be, plus other finds from there to date...(so fellow detector buds will know there really were a few coins there) and one other nice CW era relic.
Adams Cavalry Revolver...pat. 1851 .44 cal 5 shot dbl action cap and ball revolver
US Belt plate ...to be identified
2 ...1876 CC mint seated dimes
1...1867 shield nickel
1...era brass wedding ring
and a plethora of junk...a few examples
rim fire cartridge (.44 cal. Henry) with 2 strike firing pin. Fired from one of 2 period rifles.
Either the Henry "yellow boy" load it on Sunday and shoot it all week. or the model 1866 Winchester. Early metallic cartridges were sometimes slow to fire and not totally reliable. Hence a double firing pin arrangement on these early models.
Thanks for looking.
