Looks like a pull tag from a zipper, maybe from a golf bag etc. Or could have just been used on the green as a ball marker.

One possibility is the United States Rubber Company, which became US Royal before it became Uniroyal-Goodrich. The mill store in my town sold US Royal shoes, jackets and lots of other things that they made. This could very well have been a zipper pull from a jacket.
