Went out today to a 6 mile long run that I have been digging since Dec of '99. I went up a draft that I hadn't been in before, but when I got to the top there was 100's of acres of clear cut. It was a tangled mess of tree tops and black berry bushes. I picked out one small opening in the mess to check before heading back down. Wouldn't you know it, I found a log mark. When I got home I mentioned to my wife, what are the odds of finding a marker in one small opening of a clear cut. It has #3 on it.
Other iron I found at a lumber camp in another section of the run. I don't usually bring horse shoes and axe heads out, but a friend wants to start a collection of them.

I always bring the horseshoes home! Need all the luck I can get!
