Hi All.
Found this small two-piece button (back rusted off) at a site where I've found stuff as old as a 1749 Farthing. It's small (about 15mm wide) and convex. Probably copper. It looks like it has a central crest with a figure on either side, crossed swords in the center, a rising/setting sun above that, and an eagle with a scroll at the top. Similar to MD and ME militia buttons from mid-1800's but not quite. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
