I went to the elementary school nearby. The town was established in 1795.I searched an area of ground that looked like the land had not been moved or filled. The original schoolhouse was there but is a modern school now, this is why I went to where I thought the ground might not have been messed with.I dug about $3.00 in clad, most were in the late 1960s- 70s range. Not one piece of silver.I did dig this Elgin watch at 6 inches near a huge tree. Can anyone tell me anything about the date of this watch?I did a quick search and found they stopped making them in 1956, but they ask for a serial # which is inside and I dont know how to open.

Thanx for lookin ,jimmy

Sorry I forgot the pics. Her they are.
