So I've been stuck between an at pro or a safari until this past weekend witnessing what a safari could do. So I found a 2 yr old one on craigslist for 650. Pix of it look really clean is that a decent price on one?
Thanks

Around $ 900-1000 new with 3yr warranty contact the vendors on here you just might find a great deal

Sent from my iPhone using TreasureNet

My price range is about 600

For used yes. Just follow your standard craigslist safety protocols. Bring your own batteries and try it well first.

Not bad price. I would full test it out first. If you are not experience with a Minelab try to find someone that is. They are totally different sound wise than any other.

If it checks out ok, snag it!

My first detector, got it like new off craigslist for $650,
look at the coil edges for deep dings and drop marks elsewhere, signs of abuse..
Check for stability with the sens maxed, it should be rock solid.
Air tests will tell you it functions, but IMO are NOT accurate.
I pulled a Mass Cent and a 1780 gold Ducat in my first month.
Great starter machine, and it is still my 'Go To' detector
after buying Excal, Etrac, T2, and Sand Shark, all good machines,
the Safari is my first love. HH to ya

Good luck on Christmas morning...I'm pullin for ya.....

Now lets hope the snow melts....but not until after X-mas:laughing7:

I am tired of the snow! It can melt now! I would rather be detecting!

Ill keep u posted next doug.

I could be out MDing in my town. The ground isn't froze yet, but the wind is bad lately. Trust me I'm going nuts not being out.

$650 sounded like a good price to me, if it worked well. I almost never see one on feebay for under $750, but in the $750 range you can find them less than a year old with some warranty still on them. Minelab made their warrant transferable late in 2011, so if you can find one a year old or less you'd be in better shape than an earlier one. I got mine with full warrany used two weeks by a dealer for a little over $750 on feebay, but also got an AT Pro with a year left on it's warrany for $300 on craigslist. Deals are out there, just watch all the sites possible, have a little patience and you'll find a good deal.
Happy New Year to all!!!
