Obviously a fresh drop, it is a little over 4 inches long and has the number 40020 stamped into it. Dime is pasted from the same original photo for size. What do you think it is?

Also full pic of finds for size reference.

I think it is called a knot tying tool, but not real sure. Bunch of nice finds, though!

Fishhook threader

Tim, can you post a website showing these fish hook threaders? I'm from family of generations of salt water fisher people, and I've never seen one. I've seen some tools that were similar to Jack's pic that were fish hook removers. Nice finds, Breezie

if you buy them at a craft store they are for sculpting clay, wax etc. if you buy them at a beauty supply store they really are pimple poppers too like already mentioned. :sign13: maybe you could sculpt a pimple popper pot while your waiting for a fish to bite :laughing9:

Looks like a button tool for the elderly to assist in buttoning shirts, etc... My grandmother had one similar when I was younger.

My Dad has a lot of different sizes of these, he uses them for Taxidermy for sculpting the nose, eyes, ears, hoofs and so on. They are also used by Potters and in the Medical field.

I see you have found a cremation tag.
I have been watching other tag finds for years
and have yet to see one with the name and dates of the deceased,
only the funeral home and number.

Hi. Not sure if you are a fisherman or if you are aware of those Van Staal pliers you found. They run starting at 175.00 and some places sell them for more. I'm just mentioning this because to some people pliers are pliers, except in the case of Van Staal, in which case they are extremely expensive pliers. I know someone is missing those. Nice finds.

Yea, and those are the cheapie stainless steel ones. The titanium ones are astronomically priced. You could buy all my fishing gear for the price of one set of those pliers.

That went back in the ocean at the spot where it was found this morning at 7:30 A.M.

Jeff, I am a fisherman and noticed how nice they were. I just happened to look them up before going to bed last night and couldn't believe the price of them. I have to use the for fishing now so everyone will think I am dumb enough to spend $200 on fishing pliers.
