Found this in a quick 45 min hunt in a torn up alley in my town. Token came from a pharmasist in portland oregon late 1800's - early 1900's, and made its way all the way to Wi. I went on Token catalog to find some info on it

I think the chances of that token being from Portland, Oregon are about as close to zero as they can get. Druggists don't need 1 pint and 1 quart tokens - that is a dairy token IMO

The 1900 LaCrosse, WI City Directory shows a fellow named H. W. Viets as a commercial traveler (i.e. traveling salesman). May not be the guy who used the token - I'll do a bit more looking.

Ah! Bingo! The 1890 LaCrosse, WI City Directory shows H. W. Viets as a milk dealer residing at 214 N. 6th. I can't find a match in the Federal Censuses, but the 1895 Wisconsin state census shows a Hurbert W. Viets in LaCrosse - no occupation shown. The 1888 LaCrosse City Directory shows him as Hubert and I suspect that is the correct spelling.
