I couldn't find anything anywhere. It might be custom made, it kind of looks like a blank coin that was carved into.

On first look the numbers font appears to be old and I rarely see anything in this style. The state of Alaska is spelled very distincly, with the "A" on each end forming two mountain peaks. That has had to been on something else surely. Could be a very old fishing or hunting lincence or a train porter's badge.

It may be machine stamped. Hard to tell from the picture.

could we get a pic of the reverse? looks like a coat check token, or maybe baggage token. Possibily from the Alaska steamship line or Alaska railroad although their modern symbol is ARR. It is cool though, where was it found?

This was found at an 1800's school site near Muskegon Michigan.

stamped item.
Could be anything in the the realm of badges. Hunting license, chauffeur license, or even a company badge.

The new pics are great. I would say its a machine stamped item, not a coin.

the logo of alaska must be the key to finding an origin.
