Congrats on your 1st Ring! It should clean-up nicely. Breezie

PS: Intimer, the ladybugs have invaded my house too (well, only 1 room); what's up with that?

i've read a bunch about them recently.
they come in cracks outside and overwinter the walls. then as things warm up they try to get out and come inside by mistake.
they are attracted to white and shiny objects and evidently west facing walls. they have gotten worse and worse each year. ours may even bite. they may have been brought to use for agricultural reasons (eating aphids).
there are sprays for outside house in fall. there are inside sprays (insecticide type). some say just a soapy solution. i've not tried any. i have recently parked a vacumm cleaner at the ready. plug the hose when done. they will die without water. so they stink up ( actually a natural hormone- said to be their blood) excreting that $#%$^% yellow (that will seriously stain things) and really stink up the vacumm bag when turn on it really smells. they excrete it when they get threatened--like right before they go down the disposal!!!!

anyway. i am anxious to seal all inside crack around windows and maybe spray a insecticide in these cracks before that. i have almost none on cold days but upwards of 50 on one window during the day. they will only get worse believe me.

sort of sounds like i'm frantic.....i hate the dang things after all my life thinking they were something really special and harmless. my son says they bite, and that stink / stain serves no purpose. i don't think the crops will suffer for the ones i kill. i just hope they communicate before they die saying to each other, "let's not come back here next fall"

i got some 'piesin' fer bugs with a small thingy, like WD-40, and will be spraying every ^%$(^% crack around the windows soon. i think they are ancestors of kudzu---watch out they have gotten worse and worse each year here. they are definitely overwintering in the west facing wall of our house.
