Found a Park with an 1880's house now what

I found a park that once had an 1880 Fram house on it. In 1975 the fire dept. burned it down as a training exercise. I loctaed the exact spot of the house. It is now a soccer field. Have hunted it for a few hours and only found molten metal and modern clad. I have an ace 250 and gti 2500. Any suggestions on what I can do to help find some older stuff?

Dig all the trash & get it out the way.
Then listen for the Whispers & very tiny signals
and dig them all

If you know the exact location....try and see if you can pinpoint where the back porches were,walkways,shortest distance to outhouse and out buildings....clothes lines.....Alot of time if you go to your history society you can find a photo of it on line to better help you with this....did they bring in fill? Because if they filled the foundation part with fill,then you are going to get alot of junk hits. Concentrate on where there were trees planted....then cut down....they probally put a few inches of top soil over everything. Look for slight depressions in the ground to help you get your foundation areas etc. Sometimes if you go real early in the morning ,the frost will settle heavier in the depressions and you can make it out....also the grass will grow greener for years over the privy.

Was able to find one pic from front of the house and at eye level. It shows it sitting on a slight incline. I found the incline and have found house debris. Some old trees still exist but unable to line anything up with the picture do to it being a far shot. I did see a pole sticking up warning of a gas line. It seems to be about 30-50 yards from the homesite. Not sure about fill dirt but I would assume since there is a soccer field on top of it now. Went to historical society and they were pretty much lost and unorganized. Couldn't even show me maps or pictures of the area. I think once you hit 90 years old you should be there to tell stories but to organize files.

Looks like a great spot to dig everything. Use very little discrimination, you might be suprised what items you just might dig up.
