Stopped at a new spot for an hour or so to scope it out and was very pleased to have found a couple nice finds . The hoe is pretty neat and the knife as well.. And I found a broke piece of something maybe a Celt made of nice Dover material .. The little round piece is a puzzler it has been messed with shows polish on both round ends .. Any info on what it maybe is welcome ;)

I like that bottom Piece !

it's Different

Thanks y'all it's funny you can look for 8 hours and find nothing then look for one hour and find 3 or more lol

Nice Hoe, like the wear polish on the inside, it`s been around some corn, beans, squash. Good find!

Good looking finds. The last piece is a natural Concretion. Google them and check out the pics and you will see some just like yours.

Not bad for an hour. I hope you go back soon and find some more. The last one is a flint nodule it is natural. They did use them for grinding at times but it looks as if the cortex hasnt been altered. I find some strange shaped ones in the creek I hunt.

the last looks to be a carved stone walnut. Often the native americans would use stone ones for coffee table decorations since they would last a long time and endure travel.

Speaking of nuts

How does one tell if they have a hoe or a Celt? I would think I would want my hoes bigger if I were doing much hoeing...mjm..

Well I find hoes big and small and celts big and small I really am not sure exactly but the shape tends to be what I use to determine which is which so maybe someone who knows more than me can help out ?? Thanks everyone for your responses !!!!

Thanks for the logical answer it is way better than the walnut idea lol

Nice finds and I go with the hoe idea, the size would range in all different size's due to the fact that all size of people used them kids to adults, and also they just chopped around the plants, I don't think they keep their farming area has clean has we do. Great finds, another hot spot:notworthy:
