Found this today in the DC area. I'm guessing it's not too old, but I'm don't know too much about buttons (first I've found). Does anybody know approx how old it is? Marked JR GAUNT & SONS INC NEW YORK. Thanks!

Considering this is this guy's/gals first post, may not have known where to post, this treasurenet forum is huge and you can get lost faster then a kid @ Sixs Flag america.. :skullflag:

...your absolutly right!Sorry and welcome...didnt mean to come off that way,but guys like Bigcypresshunter,Cannonballguy etc......the button pro's dont usually look at todays finds...at least I seldom see them post there. The "Whats it",section is where they call home  Your button could date from 1902 -present but it is likely WW2 vintage like said...it is an uncommon backmark, but the button guys will tellya all about it
