In the left most row are the finds from this afternoons hunt at a spot that has been well hunted already. The second and third vertical rows are all from the after supper hunt. Ok have a bit of a story on the Kitty-Kat pin. The pin was found near an area where in the past I had found a sterling silver heart earing. So I knew there was possibly more items there. Using my new detector which has a more adjustable sensitivity and smaller search coil than my previous machine I was able to get much closer to the metal pole than in the past. I believe this is why I missed the target during a past hunt. The signal Tided at 15 on my Safari, so nickel was expected but the signal did seem larger than the usual nickel in pinpoint mode. It read as 5 inches deep. Dug out some of the hard sand and still no sight of the target. So then I used my Pro-pointer and sure enough the signal was in bottom of the hole. So I used my Lesche tool at an angle and tried to move some of the hard packed sand out. Suddenly a shiny object popped out of the hole and onto the ground. My jaw was dropping, what was this shiny object? After a bit, I went Oh its a Kitty-Kat pin! Sure was lucky that the Leshe tool didn't end up gouging or cutting the pin! On to the next picture with the kind of ate ring, this ring was found under a playhouse that had a slide down pole. Had dug up about 2/3s of the tabs and junk in the picture when targets were getting sparse so I jacked my sensitivity up from 1 to 2. Then is when I got the ring. Went on to dig the rest of the junk then pictured with the ring. Hope you enjoyed the read. Happy Hunts! CARM
