Was poking around a corner of a pasture and the detector was more or less silent outside of the remains of a fence line, saw this little bit of pale green glass on the ground. I picked it up and saw the lip on it and figured it was a larger dish over a bottle fragment. I thought maybe it’s uranium glass so I ordered a black light uv 395, I set it next to bottles of variously ages and colors then hit the lights

I don’t know how common it really is to find some but it was a fun little score for me and a very odd spot for it to show up… maybe I need to go back and look harder for some evidence of a house.

I would be all over that spot until I was totally satisfied there was nothing that there was nothing else there you may want My experience is if I find surface glass it is almost a given there are other and better items nearby The best glass dump I ever dug was found in the middle of a 40 acre hay field and what I first saw was old broken glass at the opening of ground hog hole And once I began to dig I found most of the best old bottles I have And also pottery and other old metal relics Including an open pontil that dates back to the1860. 'S IF YOU HAVE NOT GONE BACK YOU SHOULD MAKE IT A PROIRTY Good luck
