Got some time in this afternoon.Found one of the nicest old pocket knifes I have ever found. 100% of its wood is intact, which is very unusual, for me anyway! Not exactly sure how to date it,but I would say no later then mid 19th century,it really made my hunt to find it.Also got a 1903 In. and a bent-toasted large cent.was glad to find it but man I hate it when I finally walk over one and they come up like that.gonna do a little cleaning on it and see if I can't make anything out.Now about that half dime "Just joking"but man that little silver looking joker had me going for a minute there:laughing7:Happy Hunting everyone! 004.JPG006.JPG008.JPG012.JPGHERES THAT COMMON LITTLE SON OF A GUN!:laughing7:002.JPG003.JPG

Congrats on pulling those keepers. :occasion14: I am a coin shooter so in my eyes you had a well balanced hunt. Love digging old coins. I hope it never gets old.

old coins are what I am shooting for in most places ,but I like it all.If its old and can be collected I am into it.I don't think finding old money will ever get old to me.

The day I' don't get excited when I see a bucket lister or keeper in the hole, is the day I will plan on selling my gear.

Man, that pocket knife really held up, didn't it? Congrats DI2...you did well:icon_thumright:

Yes it did Olddude,I was surprised.found it in somewhat of a bottom that seems like it might have always stayed damp/wet.thinking maybe that might have something to do with it being so preserved. This other one I found on the same sight, but it is missing a little piece of the handle.Looks like it might of come from the same maker? 001.JPG002.JPG
