Probably our best find here. My wife and I were walking from the parking lot at the beach out to the sand. We had only walked about 5 feet from the parking lot and my wife says "Hey, what's that?" I grabbed a little ring out of the sand. It was pretty poor looking and I wrote it off as junk jewelry. But, because it was metal, I took it to a friend of mine who has a jewelry store. He cleaned it up and had it to me the next day.
He says that the ruby is probably Burmese and itself is worth about $500. The gold is probably a melt down of other jewelry and hand poured into some sorta sand cast. Says it was probably kicking around in the sand for a couple of decades based on the tarnish and grit and other crap he found.
Cleaned up real nice, it did.
