First one of these ive found. Was about 5 inches down,am using a GTAx 550. Wasnt the best signal at first but i scanned it a few more times and it seemed like really good "junk".....no chattering or skipping. I nicked it a bit with my probe unfortunately but its still a cool coin. I think the detail on the buffalo is pretty good considering its age.....the indian doesnt look to bad either minus the very new looking scratches.

That's a nice looking coin, Ryaan, and welcome to T-Net. Great bunch of people here.

Hey thanks man. Ive been detecting on and off for awhile. Got back into it recently and have been going as much as possible. My brother and I were out for a few hours today here in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and it actually reached 70 degrees. We started out in a old ghost town called Nahma.....(nay-mah) haha. We didnt have the best of luck there....few clads and thats it. Then we went to a boulevard in our town and found 3-4 wheaties 26,27,43,46 before some guy came out and called the police on us. BTW we were hunting on city property but the cop said since he got the call he had to come. He actually told us he didnt care and thought it was a great hobby but since the guy complained the cop just asked us to go somewhere else to detect.

So,after the run in with the popo we went down to the beach/park area. This was the first coin i found.

That nickel is in great shape!

Welcome to Tnet, and keep 'em coming!

That's a very nice buffalo nickel. Anytime you can read the date on a buff, you're doing well! Welcome to TreasureNet, hope you'll post more of your finds when you get the chance.

Great shape is right! Anytime I find those on land they look like a rusty washer and when I find them in the water they're warn to the core. Nice find!
