Well the last couple of weeks have been kind of slow at work, but today we started a new job. I work for a design/build company and we remodel a lot of bathrooms. The job we started today was a bathroom in a house built in the 50's, and when I was pulling up the old mud-set floor I noticed a coin near the door threshold. It's a 1953 wheat in great shape! When I pulled up the threshold I found a 1947 nickel and a 1943 steel wheatie! I was happy to find my first steel penny, and to find it in a house where it was protected from the elements made it even better. I worked my way along the wall opposite from the vanity and I saw a glimpse of silver, BIG silver down in between the floor joists! I quickly reached down and picked it up out of the dust and debris, and to my disappointment its a piece of junk modern plastic play coin. oh well, I'm still happy with my eyeball finds from today, maybe I'll find something cool on the next demo too!
