004.JPG005.JPGI didn't find a whole lot for the time i spent ,but the ground gave up a pretty nice pocket knife, considering usually when I happen to find one, the bone/wood is half missing if any left at all. This one seems pretty complete and should clean up nice.I would have hunted a little longer, but this time of the year, when the water is gone,I am usually done. She was a pretty hot one today in the sun. Thanks for looking.006.JPG007.JPG "I just cleaned it up a bit,and it appears the front part of handle is wood and the back bone.It is by far the best specimen I have found yet.pretty pumped about this one.Can anyone give me any tips for preserving thin wood.It has a few cracks.I would hate it to fall to pieces

Some nice old bullets you got there! I'm no expert, but I think a simple elmers glue solution would work on your pocket knife. It is used on many fragile relics... so why not wood?

Same for me on the pocket knives...always toast. I found a nice modern knife, but I'd rather find a nice old one. Cool finds!

Great pocket knife, bullets ,etc.
I like digging old knives also, can not stand it when there left in the open position tho.
