I am hoping the one is an arrowhead but Google image keeps bringing up its a meteorite or a rare platinum crystal! The others I thought were maybe fossilized teeth or coral but those keep coming back in search results as sorrow heads or stone tools lol all Found in upstate NY along a ravine natural glacial cut ravine and creek bed, also found with some amazing sandstone that when broken were packed full of fossilized coral, shells, etc!

I don’t want to rain on the proverbial parade, but I seen no arrow point(s). The gray photos and white photos look like regular rocks IMO. The black one is different, it resembles slag, but the picture isn’t sufficient to judge it. Is the black one attracted to a magnet at all?

Welcome to TreasureNet, I am sorry but all are natural stone, none are artifacts nor do I see a meteorite.

The ones that seem like just rocks are super lightweight, with unnatural looking areas resembling like a gum line or something but we found a bunch of petrified wood as well in the area! I’ll try the magnet! Also found this

Here is a diff angle of the black one and 2 other pics of what I thought was a tooth of some type based on the texture or whatever you call it towards top! I’ve found shark teeth on beaches before that have the same type markings and shape but not fossils

The first photo above looks like a metal oxide concretion of shell hash. The shell bits are fossils, the concretion is likely of the same period, if you can ID the fossils. Kind of cool. If it was limestone ( is it?) you could soak it in mild acid ( vinegar ) and it would dissolve the limestone, leaving you with the fossils. When the vinegar stops bubbling, pour it off, and add fresh. Do it on the porch. It stinks.

Any idea what this is? I Google image searched and it’s saying meteorite or a rare platinum crystal, it’s shape and if you look very closely the bottom end seems to have 1 noticeable notch, but not like any stone I could find in the area almost seems metallic!

Here’s what I did in similar circumstances. I put my “special finds” aside because I really believed they were artifacts. Why toss them out, they are easy to store. After more studying and help from T Net experts my knowledge increased. I revisited my finds with new eyes. They are now part of my rock garden. I am a little embarrassed to think how far off I was at the beginning. But that’s how I learn. Keep searching and fine tune your knowledge. It’s a great hobby.
