Lots of scrapers here to the points are scarce. I think a lot of collectors only save the points and leave the scrapers and thats why I dont find many of them and tons of everything else like worked flakes. Not many keep the worked flakes. Thats a nice point for sure, almost all of mine have a tip ding
Grim I hunt mostly right around the border of SW Missouri & NW Arkansas. Hopefully I'll have a few more points to post soon now that the flood waters are receding. We've been dealing with record rains past 2 weeks & im thinking the hunting should be excellent.
The river in this photo is usually a good 15-18 feet below the bridge. I've never seen anything like it
I'm thinking Cache River maybe? Looks nearly identical to the Cache River examples in Overstreet, only thing throwing me for a loop is the fact that the one I found is about half the size of the ones in Overstreet or the examples I can find online
I'm questioning whether those are corner or side notches on your point..I've found so many Grand with corner notches that look just like yours, but far far far from really knowing what I'm talking about Can some say if the mn9000,s is corner or side notched? I'm in NE Okla
lol!! yes it does!..the angled notch, I have many versions...but then the other notch looks side notched, and I have very few of those...one trait of the Grands is the base will have flaking that is side by side across the base...seems to usually be about 4 "grooves" running the WIDTH of the base, I don't think I see that in your pics..a member named Neanderthal can tell you what you have...he's also the curator of the artifact museum at Bentonville
