Good grief...you must have hit an iron dump....

sometimes I believe I did hit an iron dump. I have dug up part of wood stoves, cast iron cookware, sewing machine frames, an god nows what else.

I just dug an axe head last Monday.
I doesn't look like any of those.
Mine has a triangular ear on each side of the handle hole.
