Found a buried bottle in the woods

I was walking in the woods near my house and I noticed a shine from an object in the dirt. After digging around it, I realized it was an old bottle. I brought it home and cleaned it up. I did some research online, and found that it was from an old Ketchup company.
On the bottom it says PJ Ritter Co.
Bridgeton, NJ

When I was researching it, I came upon two different bottles. The one that closely resembles mine is only 7", while the one I found was 8"
Any idea of the date/significance of this bottle?
Here are the pictures of the bottle:

I am not a bottle expert, but it reminds me of a ketchup bottle.

Howdy Gman,

Welcome to TNet. Your bottle was made by the Owens-Illinois Glass Co. at the Clarksburg, WV plant. I cannot read the number to the right of the OI diamond/oval logo, but that would be the date code. The stippled base indicates Forties, date wise.

These are very commonly found, especially on the East Coast.

It sticks in my mind that I've eaten ketchup out of a bottle shaped like that, only in those days it was spelled catsup, which as a kid I couldn't figure out why it was spelled that way. Back then you took the lid off the bottle, and the catsup wouldn't pour, you had to whack the bottom of the bottle several times, then it would sometimes gush out two or three times the amount that you had in mind to begin with. Any young whipper snappers reading this post don't have any idea what you have missed out on.
