Found a beatiful sterling whatzamajigger...help id please

I was out detecting at an 1800's mansion in town and found this ornate sterling handle...maybe a letter opener? Give me some help if you have any idea...

Found this neat button at a 1 room school house in town...i'm afraid to clean it any more because it is very rusty on the back.

Found this beautiful indian at a recent house tear down...it was only 3 inches down.

And finally this old fork...it is extremely small and thin...any clues on the date?

Thanks guys, the pic does not show the end of the sterling thing broken off, after looking on ebay for awhile its got to be a letter opener

thats exactly what i think it is as well. i found one in the front yard of an old home in my neighborhood that is very similar. yours is in alot better condition than mind was. awesome find !!!

Nice find...have to go along with letter opener, but better if more of handle was available for ID.
