Were you discriminating out anything but the higher denomination coins?

I bet you were at a grassy area were everyone sets while watching the high school football game. last year a friend and i did that and each of us got over $60.00 .mostly surface and less than 1 inch down.we went back and found around $30.00 each.guess were ill be next spring.

That's alot of coins and a great amount. How many hours detecting? did you find any trash and was anything buried or was it all on top?? I spent time at 29 Palms in 1978 and am sure you have very little pressure. A story could make it belieable, just that comment will have people wondering. Many here spend mucho hours swinging and if you read other posts you see how they found the items found and to find 800+ coins and no trash because you didn't mention even a pull tab. I've seen some great totals, but you've got a record there and as far as the even amounts, I'm sure you could have known your totals and hunted until you found exactly $30 in quarters, exactly $20 in dimes, exactly $6 in nickels, and exactly $4 in pennies. Maybe someday I can hit a virgin site like that, I don't remember that kind of day back in 1984 when I didn't even see or talk to another detectorist formany moons! Possible, yes, but who knows!!

What's all the fuss about? Are you all jealous because someone can search a military base where thousands of troops are in the field everyday and lose things left and right? Give the guy a breake. I had a friend that found over 5,000 pennies in one big pile, we also found the remains of the 5 gallon water jug that was broken next to then. You see it can happen! Lighten up a bit...... Glad to see all the negative comments about his finds removed. Sometimes a few folks on here sit with there finger on the trigger ready to fire on a new member or someone who has no camera, rather sad if you ask me .

I'm a firm believer that actions are contagious and a few start it and others just can't help themselves.
