Found 3000 Year Old Sword by the Roadside

the sword has now been turned over to the "proper" authorites -- well so much for his "find" -- its now the states find --and what if anything will he get out of this? bupkus -- hope it at least gets displayed were people can actually "see" it and theres a note card giving the poor sap credit for the find at least. andthat it does not wind up being shelved in a store room somewhere.

So if it were you, you'd have preferred NOT to find it? And one more thing--I don't think that Anyone who recovers a 3,000 year old sword is a "poor sap."

I enjoyed the story. Thanks for sharing, Stickmarsh.

no BB --I'd not only want to find it , but I would want to get a fair shake too -- sometimes govt archie type persons once you tell or show em what you 've found just take your finds "thank you" very much --with no proper credit or fiscal reward for the finder --other than maybe a quick new blip -"man finds 3,000 old sword " (and gets screwed out of it by the gubbermint *--greedy grabby govt) -- thats what I meant by "poor sap" --he just wanted to know what he had -- so he shows em ---"poof" --now its theirs .
