Sycamore is 5 miles from home but I can find no info on this cigar store.

They are noted as doing business (cigars and billiards) in this book during that period.

i love these old tokens, hope to find one some day, great finds.
Likewise, though I did find some from the early 20ͭ ͪ C in a spill. TBH, the thoughts of finding certain (types of) tokens excites me more than the prospects of finding an old coin. I'm a little surprised we (detectorists) don't find more tokens than we do considering their sheer numbers and variety.

Where I live, there were no Revolutionary or Civil War battles and such (dearth of artifacts), but as I understand it, Hard Times and Civil War tokens were used throughout the (contemporary) States, so they should be down there with the coins.
