Found 2 Today

I looked for a couple of hours today in an area of the field that I looked yesterday and found these.


They have turned the field across the road and it is supposed to rain this week. This is one of my favorite fields. One day I found 13 whole points in it and pocketfuls of broken points. I hope we get lots of rain!

Believe me I am still trying. It didn't come from this field.

I don't have huge hands, but I have never thought of them as being small.

They are from southwest Georgia. It is coastal plains chert.

Awesome. I love that material. I get a few pieces to knap one in a while at shows. I like how the sun will shine through it. Do you find Bolen Bevels where you are at?

Yes.

One thing that is in my favor is the fact that the farmers on this tract (5500 acres in cultivation) plant a lot of truck crops. When they plant cucumbers, watermelons, zucchini, or yellow squash they have to bottom plow the fields. Because of this I have a better chance of finding big artifacts that are whole.

Yes they don't do any bottom plowing in my area. They plant cotton, corn or soybean here. Mostly cotton and when they do plow it is only around 6 inches deep.

i even looked to see if there were giant bones found georgia and i think there were,7 foot i think.
