Found these 2 shards on my property. Just for a general sense of age of the property, people have been going through my property on the old road since the late 1760's-early 1770's, and my house was built around 1800. People have lived in the house ever since.

These pieces looked old to me. I was just wondering if anyone might have a sense of how old they might be.

The piece in the pictures below looks to be from the bottom of a bowl

Both of the shards have a very smooth, almost glass-like surface (the first picture shows how the light reflects off the surface)

Any Ideas/Information is appreciated!
Thanks,

Looks like blue tansferware which was done in the late 1700'a and early 1800's. I have found a lot of it here in Virginia.

Your pieces don't have the look of transferware to me.
They have the more hand painted look of Chinese ceramic/porcelain ware brought here in the 1800's.
These pieces could be from the Ming (1368-1644) or Qing (1644-1912) Dynasties,
which were carried with the immigrants and also in later years imported as trade goods and had many different patterns.
Great pieces and signs of good finds to come..
