Garrett ATG and thinking about another nugget hunter
Primary Interest:
Prospecting
I've got the ATGold and after about 10 hunts I found 2 rings today. First hunt today in a park I found a couple pull tabs, of course and a penny. Plus a couple bolts and of course various foils. Then i found ring 1- a cheap aluminum one. Great I can clean up other people's messes.
Then on the second hunt today I found a couple pennies pull tabs and then boom!!! I had a solid 90 ID. I pulled the plug, and started poking with the pointer. Then there it was. I thought it was another cheap ring of steel. Then my son cleaned it up when I got home. He asked "What's the 925 stand for". Man I was pumped. Sterling silver. Man finally!! A ring of value. Love my ATG

Congrats on your first silver ring! :icon_thumleft: I've been detecting for two years and it took me a while! First silver ring dug in hard dirt at a playground, then months later dug two at beach, plus found one in sand for a woman who'd just lost it, felt good. Still don't have any gold jewelry yet though. HAVE FUN EVERY DAY! Andi

Congrats. Pic please?

Thx guys. I'll get pics in a couple hours. I finally got through all my active threads. Had 14 when started and watched some heated debates. I thought I was long winded. Lol

Ok here's the pic of the second ring. The first one isn't with showing. Lol.

Congratulations:thumbsup:

That's a cool one!

Thx all. I've got it on my nightstand. Just can't stop thinking about when and how I got it. Lol the thing is its not even gold. Man I'll have a stroke or a heart attack when I find my first gold.
I even think in my video I've posted in YouTube my breathing sounded excited. Lol. All for a ring that may cost $20 (according to son), and I just say it's the thrill of the hunt. It's like hunting a deer. You're going up and down hills. Through thick growth or slippery pine needle covered hills to chase a little coos deer (here in az), then boom you've got one. Not a ton of meat. Possibly a spike or a Christmas tree buck. It's the work you put into it and get the reward. No matter how small the worth. It's still rewarding.

Kids just don't think $20 is a lot of money. Yet they'll work three hours +/- for it. Then blow it on Taco Bell for themselves and friends. I know it's $20, but that's $20 more than I started the day with. By the way it's my oldest son (19). I keep forgetting that he knows everything and I'm just an old man. Lol.

Congrats!!!!
