I don't know how old these belt buckels are but the brass one looks very old. No writing on it and if anyone wants to guess how old it is I sure would like it. The token is a spur gas station token and it's aluminum and it was about 6 inches deep. It showed up as a dime on the Ace 250. I'm sure there's some goodies there somewhere because there's a bunch of glass in the holes and small pieces of brick and something that looks like asbestos siding about 1/8" thick in a bunch of the holes I dug. Oh, I found these at the same site I found the 1920 German coin. It will take weeks to look it good I guess. There's some 8" plus targets that show up iffy and just might be good ones. I'll have to wait on rain to dig that big of a hole. We are close to 10" below normal for rainfall this year already and we are about to get into the dry season.

SPUR (the Spur Distributing Co. of Nashville, TN) was founded in 1928. They were bought out by Murphy Oil in 1960, but I believe that Spur remains a regional brand today.

Cool lookin' token Dang.....won't get you very far these day's.....Have you had a chance to ID it yet.The one buckle definetley has some age to it....Congrat's and HH!!

Great finds! We could use some of those gas tokens now!

The brass buckle is a clipped edge buckle. It was made between 1830 and 1890.

Always a great hunt when ya can find a token! ;) Congrats on your finds....
