Found 1876 2 pfennig in my yard today!!

So even though I've picked over my yard for a year and a half I had a solid 83 on the at pro and dug what I thought was 3,547th wheat penny this year. Took it inside and it's what turns out to be a German empire coin? Who knows how it got there as my house was built in 1860 and has quite a history but it was as deep (7" or so) as anything I've found in that era. It's just fun to still pull something unique long after I thought I got it all as I told my wife last fall!

Lot's of Germans settled that area, including my family. My grandmother's side had a farm in Hopedale long ago.... Cool find!

Thanks everyone! I found my first Barber Dime to go with it and it looks like it's been in a case preserved! I can't believe how nice silver comes out of the ground here. Especially compared to copper.
