Hello, I found this in west central Minnesota. It is about 3 " or so and has a glazed type waxy crust , I sent this to a university Geology department and was told it may be a Fossil but were not sure as it conformed strange to the stone, It is not magnetic and i wondered if this could possibly be a stony meteorite as it almost looks as flow lines on top and bottom. I also thought maybe a feather ,? who knows . Thanks for looking. anyway

I would say a dead ringer for jasper. It IS possible that it could be a fossil in jasper, as petrified wood can be made of jasper or agate. At any rate, that is one of the coolest jasper cobbles I have seen!:occasion14:
