i found this laying by a tree at first i thought it was cement with a fence imprint but its a rock not cement i thought it could b fish scales or snake skin imprint u tell me

I dont know what it is but what ever it is its cool!

I have found some close to that pattern and was told by an expert it was a plant imprint. around 350 million years old.... that of course depend on where it was found. Here is a forum that you can post it on and get some answers. The Fossil Forum

Definately looks like a fern tree trunk from the Triassic-Jurassic era. Great Find!

Back when i was mining coal here in Ohio Id find very similar fossils under the coal seam.
The ones I found were water or pond lily roots.
Picture is non fossilized root.
