Fossil I.D. help

A friend has this large fossil (about 8 ft long) on his land. I think its a fossil of a tree. Can anyone help I.D. this for us?

It's a Lepidodendron fossil. HH

I used to find those when I was strip mining coal here in Ohio.
300 million years old.

So the hexagonal pattern I was looking at would likely be sigillaria, often found with lepidodendron it seems?
