My son found these two last summer while kayaking a local creek. The one on the left looks like the typical material we find fossils in but the right one is different (smooth & shiney) . Anyone have ideas on what kind they are?

Cool finds.

The one on the right is nautiloid ammonite, and possibly from the genus Aturia. The other is too eroded to reliably identify, except it being a coiled gastropod of some kind
