Hello,

Headed back to last trips patch. Had to do some cleaning out before everyone found my spot. Did a grid for a few hours and got several pieces. So time was dragging on so I tried another little ridge across the no name creek. And found another small patch of gold. And finally right before leaving I went ariund a bush the opposite side of where I had been and got a nice chunk.
I got a couple more days to go to clean up these small areas then off to the other several acres of gold deposits. I will probably leave a piece or two for the other guys. The day total was 14 pcs for 8.8 dwt.
Good luck

P.s. if you want to find some good gold. Maybe its time for a new Fors gold plus!

Wow almost a half ounce of gold in Ca in one day, that's amazing great job! I feel like I'm reading a thread on an Australian forum I have to let this sink in:)

Another great day! For sure, you are a good sales pitch for that detector.

What kind of trees are those in the wider pics CG or if anyone knows.

Manzanita .... looks to be around the around 1500 +/- 2000 ft in elevation ~ "A" typical California foothills vegetation common at or below timberline.

We would all would like to stumble into a nice area and patch like @Californiagold has been able to do.... Thinking.... All that he found has been just laying there for millions of years undisturbed without anyone finding it... those areas still exist... but are rare... yet, there still is plenty of AU out there.... A lot of truly profitable gold producing areas have been patented and are now private property. So that leaves us and with another issue to deal with being in the right area first... Here in the US 99.9% of the easy gold has been found.... I can also say without any doubt... That we have all have probably walked over more beautiful gold nuggets than we will ever find. But only few inches deeper than most detectors can detect... :( Today... the "GPZ is much better in doing going deeper than most PI detectors but it helps being in less trashy the hard to access areas. The "Fors Gold+" is better in trashier areas weeding through all the junk and bullets that most people avoid. But, there is still gold there ! Approaching the issues by turning most peoples negatives into your positive !

But what ever gear you are using....It all gets down to... "It is only as good as the person operating it." ~ That is why it is very important to go after those very, very, faint signals and those slight repeatable interruptions in the threshold signal ~ because those are all the deeper signals talking to you ~ and that is where you find gold! When you get good at doing that...you will find .... it is a Zen thing listening to the terra-firma beneath your feet via with whatever instrument you are using.... To excel in finding gold.. you will have to learn to become one with it ~ as you listen to the sounds of the earth.

been looking to get another detect to use with my old one. took your advice and ordered a new Nokta plus this morning; Hope it works as well in the Sonora, Angels Camp hwy49 area. might pick your brain some. Thanks for your stories and pixs

I love the pictures and the short story on your find.

You're doing a great job on tracking down and then recovering the gold.

I like that bigger, quartzy piece. It has a very interesting shape as well.

All the best, and thanks,

Lanny
