You know, bands that were touted as the best thing since sliced bread...then disappeared off the map. I submit one band that was once considered better than The Beatles, had a few hits then never heard from them again! :dontknow:

Feel free to list some you can think of. Not talking about one hit wonders here. ;D

Quicksilver & New Riders of the purple sage.

I Don't know, I Forgot them :dontknow:

Ok, here is another one. You don't hear much about this band anymore. I always loved the "haunting" harmonica on "Take the long way home". ;D

That would be a very long list

Soft rock - Seals & Crofts
Simon & Garfunkel

pop/rock - Hootie and The Blowfish
Argent

rock - The Kinks... Probably one of the most under rated groups ever
The Grassroots.. OK at least Creed Bratton got an acting job on NBC's The Office :tongue3:
The James Gang
The Band
Mountain
Genesis.... First Peter Gabriel left, then Phil Collins... That's all she wrote :tongue3:

blues/jazz - Cream
Blind Faith - Cream without Jack Bruce :laughing7:

Want more :dontknow:

And yet the Rolling Stones continue forward.. 1/2 should have been dead years ago.. Maybe they're just too stoopid to lie down :laughing7:

I knew you were going to say the Kinks Spart ;D and you know I agree.

Everybody knows this bands songs, but not everyone remembers their name. :icon_scratch:

From the classic rock era you can add the following: Steppenwolf, J. Giels Band, Sly & The Family Stone, The Doors, The Animals, Blood Sweat & Tears, Small Faces....

Here's another BOSTON.. Great 1st album that almost sounded like a greatest hits record.

forgotten as yesterday's newspaper ;D
