Forget Bens, how 'bout Barbers!

Hi all !

I had a good day of CRH yesterday. I picked up 2 bags - ($1000) each
from my bank, and I edge searched the 1st bag on my lunch break. Yes,
I couldn't wait! Towards the top, I was shocked to find not 1, but 2, Barber
halves! One is a 1894 S, and the other one is 1903 S! Then, I found a 1944 P
Walker. I also found 70 of the 40% variety, and 5 90%ers. Needless to say, I
was ready to take the day off from work, and go home and search! Well, I didn't,
but seached the 2 bag when I got home with the help of the girlfriend. 2nd bag was
not as good as the first, but I'll take it. I found 15 more 40%, a couple of France coins (the size of halves), a 74, and 77 proof. Pretty darn good day, I'd say!

Good luck to all in your searches,
The Remy Man (I need to post my yearly totals!)

Super, Dude!
How about a picture!

Re: Forget Bens, how 'bout Barbers!

I wish I could, but I am at work. Maybe sometime in the future I
can post a pic of my best finds.........Hey, good idea for a thread
on here! Post pics of your best CRH finds, it could be one coin or
a pile! Thanks for replying Tim, and keep posting! Although, LJ's
pile of coins would mean getting a wide angle lens for the photo!! LOL

Re: Forget Bens, how 'bout Barbers!

Searching bags and finding silver...........and Barber's no less.

Nice haul there Remy !

Re: Forget Bens, how 'bout Barbers!

WOW!

Too bad that 1894 S half wasnt a dime! Would be worth a couple million dollars.

Uh oh, remy just broke my record of oldest half found CRHing. The previous oldest was 1899 Barber found by ringding.

So the seated halves don't count?

Whats next a busted head half dollar, two babers is a great box. Yes please post pictures.

Re: Forget Bens, how 'bout Barbers!

GMan00001, I read that post about the seated half, but wasn't that someone who was telling about what a friend found rather than what a member of TNet forum actually found? Plus there were no pics to confirm the find.

Great finds!!!!!!!!!!!

Keep up the good work.

Re: Forget Bens, how 'bout Barbers!

I have yet to find a Barber. Certainly I have not found a Seated Half.

Neat thing about this hobby is there is always some future find to dream about.
