This fire is making it very personal. My niece and her family live on the next road that could be evacuated. There are no orders yet, but There are a lot of people that could use the Miner's help. If you have a truck and can be available from Sacramento/Auburn area, I know there will be many in need of assistance. While Mom at Everybody's Inn doesn't know this yet, This will be the meeting place for miners with trucks and Todd Valley residents in need of assistance. I'd be there to lead the charge, but I'm over two hours away. I WILL be on my way if my niece says they have to go.

PLEASE IF YOU CAN HELP, DO SO

LEAVE A MESSAGE HERE OR PM ME for updates

Hi; My heart & Pryers go out to you & yours. Stay safe ok. Let us know how your doing ok. PEACE:RONB

Update: While still unpredictable, the fire appears to be moving AWAY from homes. It would still be great if we were ready to assist if needed. Send a PM to me or leave a message here. If the situation drastically changes, I'll be driving and won't stop to check messages untill I'm there.

Unfortunately ONLY residents and media are let through. I already called Placer County Sheriffs office to check. up to 650 acres, mostly on El Dorado Co side of the river.

Greenleaf Lane is at the top of the valley. It will be the next ordered to evac if needed. With a resident escort, I think we could go in to remove belongings. This is not confirmed however. And screw the media. If they ain't helping, they shouldn't be allowed either.

Fortunately the fire appears to be moving away from the homes at this time. If the situation changes, I will be heading down regardless

Update: With the fire now moving away from homes in Todd Valley (at least for now), They are not expecting any further evac notices. However, alert remains high for the area. Thanks to anyone who may have considered coming to help.

James Hutchings is the Sacramento gpaa chapter prez. He is close to the fire ready to roll out (get the hell out). he can be reached via facebook. he is also updating when he can. the situation has calmed. not much growth overnight. 2500 acres or so right no 12% containment. Burning up towards Georgetown right now. I passed a dozer and some crews on the grade this morning. Luckily Growlersburg ccc camp is right there and the airport, helicopters get water and fuel there it's a close turn around. mainly aircraft fighting it right now 12 last I heard.

The El Dorado Co. side is a lot rougher and less populated than the placer side. really smokey at my house in Garden Valley...very very very smokey in lotus this morning.

acres are actually under 2000 still...it is 2500 plus homes threatened. my sons school is the emergency shelter now.

Their evacuating north of Bottle hill rd. Jerry

I hope that everyone gets out ok and still has a home to go back to once the fires are put out. :(
I also hope that all the firefighters, pilots, emergency crews and everyone stays safe.
