Hey, been a couple days!
I'm a week away from my metal detecting excursion to Boston for the month October - so I want to get some practice rounds in. Got out in the woods with some friends on two different occasions - though I was the only one with a detector. On Wed I found the 1907 IndianHead after digging 100 pulltabs. Then yesterday, I was out with my good friend Sue and her friend Rachel. l Dug for about an hour and a half with only some clad to show and was about to wrap it up until--

I ventured in the deep brambles where others dare not roam - got a faint single - the last signal of the day -- 1912 BARBER DIME!!:hello2: My Second Barber Dime ever! Third Barber coin ever! (one quarter). If I hadn't nicked it with my shovel:BangHead: it would easily have been near mint - I can clearly read LIBERTY and there is still some detail in the hair. It was deep in the brambles where others dare not roam! Very proud of that little coin! My friend didin't understand why I kept kissing it hahah :laughing7: Found the skeleton key near the river today - that's a first! Found with Persistence and willingness to dig every signal and the Lord's Blessing! HH!
