Re: forest preserve & permit

I just discovered I got screwed. my fault I guess for not checking. permitt expires 31 of Dec. 07. I have about a month and a half to use it. they told me the permit was good for a year but, they didn't say it went from jan. to jan.

Re: forest preserve & permit

Too bad about the Jan-Dec part. $10 bucks for the year tho is a bargain in my book. Less than a $1 a month.

Re: forest preserve & permit

how much do other folks "pay" to use "your" public park? the dog walkers , the picnicers, the baseball leauge, the football leauge.the soccor leauge ect ,ect are metal detectorist the only ones that pay a "special" fee?-- if so getting to "pay" $10 a year to use what should be free is no bargin --- however I agree its better than not being able to hunt at all --but its just another type of petty goverment "nickle and dime" sort of tax -- these days it seems we just have to -- "pay"--"pay" --"pay"-- to do anything-- they tax every damn thing --it getting outta hand --- they have parks that the public bought with tax money and its the taxpayers who pay the taxes that help upkeep and run the park -- and then they have the gall to tax the very taxpayers who made the park possible when they actually go to "use" it . via enterance fees and other petty type tax tricks like "MDing permits"-- unreal >:( Ivan

Re: forest preserve & permit

$10 for a permit, not bad at all. That is until you read Ivan's post and realize he's right. We already pay thru the nose as it is. Why are we diffrent than any one else that uses the parks! Oh, yes, I forgot.....we'er the one's that clean up the trash that the other's leave behind, we are diffrent. HH All

Re: forest preserve & permit
