foreign coin (Portugal?) can anyone help with ID or value?

I'm pretty sure this is just a portugese dime. I'ts a non dug coin from my collection. I've had it for a while but never tried to determine its value. I'm sure its not worth much but anyone with a foreign coin book know exactly how much? Thanks for any help.

looks like a portuguese (indian-- colony type)-- 1/8th rupee (rupia) coin ---1881 to me -- oddly it was made by the british govt for the portugese colonies use after the great indain uprising in 1878 the british took over direct control of india until it became independant in 1946---as far as value I'd e bay it now you know what it is --

Appears that the identical Ebay coin is offered on many Ebay sites at various opening prices. They are calling it a silver coin.
