OK, I'm usually pretty good at identifying exonumia, however, these two have me stumped. Foreign coin found at a park yesterday, looks oriental but shares characteristics with coins from Greece. The other appears to be a token, but there are evidence of attatchments on opposite sides of the rim. My best guess would be a slug made into a love token and plated??? :dontknow: :help:

If you attached twine/string to either side of the token and spun it.....It would read

FAIR
AND
SQUARE

Why? who knows :)

I need to know. How int heck did you come up with spining the token on a string for an ID? Post a link so I may educate myself on this matter. Mike

Watch a Mr. Wizard episode from the 80's. :)

The eyes see both sides of a two-sided token/object at the same time when it is spun fast. It's an optical illusion the same way a flip book of cartoon drawings appears to the brain like a motion picture. You don't need a link. Try it at home!

Very cool.
