Ford began using this type of double-sided key in 1967 / 1968, depending on the model of vehicle. And the logo on this key shows that it was NOT an original dealer key, but a hardware store or such, the type that you could get a cheap spare key made. - JHinPA

I had a 1970 Torino that had that same type key.

it's an aftermarket ford key blank that's been cut. It has an oval, but does not have the Ford logo, and the other side says 'for ford cars'. Actual factory keys said 'family of fine cars' and had the Ford logo in the oval on the other side.

1965 Ford started using that key, I had a 64 with the old style key and a 65 with the new style.
