For those who have tried this device ..

Yea I mean we all own a 40 thousand dollar detector that does 3D and detects 50 yards under the earth's surface. What else did u need to kno haha

Just a question and I want to answer it if it exists,
You do not have such a device ... others have

I just want information about this device >>>

Man I honestly just from knowing this forum that I can tell you I doubt anyone on here has first hand experience. Probably second hand at best

If someone has a unit like this, you’d be looking for something more conventional(cheaper). Like the TM808, Fisher TW-6, Fisher Gemini 3, Garrett TreasureHound, Detech SSP 5100. Seems a bit more reasonable, and logical for what you’re looking for to get a better priced detector.

loai, I don't have one of these, but I'm familiar with the general scheme. These things tend to be a modest performing metal detector or magnetometer with some pretty-looking graphics stuck on. They tend to over-promise and under-deliver.

If I had $40k I would spend it on something else besides a glorified detector with a iPad.

You left out the best. heh

Way better than those you listed anyway... although the price does get up there.

And beings you are LEO... or retired ? I am surprised no mention...

They are preferred by LE and Mil.. Gov.. Etc.

JW Fisher.

I never used one, none of the towns I worked for, or the county I worked for had them. I had my own metal detector, and occasionally carried it in my car at the city, or Tahoe at the county. I don’t know why I didn’t mention the J.W. Fisher’s machine, those were the ones I do know, and have seen is the ones mentioned above.

Yeah I know JW Fishers dive equipment,I’ve seen the side scan on the SAR boat, as well as a JW Fishers torpedo looking detector on another boat. They rarely used it. I think maybe once in the 8 years I was there did they ever use it. I am used to using a 6’ bar with massive grappling/treble hooks on the end to drag the bottom for bodies. I did dive then, and had a handheld underwater detector, the water around here is no where near as deep as most other lakes or rivers. Recovering a sunken vehicle can easily be seen by side scan sonar, and dropping a line down to the object to verify if it’s a vehicle. I’m not really sure what this guy is looking to use his for, but if someone wants to spend $40k on something that will cost them more when it comes to purchasing equipment to dig that deep then more power to them[emoji23]

JW Fishers pulse detectors are built like tanks, but have mediocre performance at best. From a prior post, loai is looking for buried treasure 5-10m deep. That is, he want a fantasy locator for locating fantasy treasures. Oddly enough, there are people who sell those.

As P.T. Barnum once said, "Supply always rises to meet demand."

Please do not waste your money on those devices. All DRS products are made in Turkey and not Germany like the company claims. Those pretty images they are claiming it will produce are a blatant lie. Like OKM this company has managed to defraud countless people for years because no one can prove if they work or not one way or the other. It is all a big scam.

and this fraud has been known for many years
but new buyers with more hope and money than prudence or intelligence ensure that these co.s can even produce new and improved models
amazing the power of greed

I have an X1
Also a Ground Expert
The Guy Ilkay) Means well
But hard for him to service and support

I think the company is not all together anymore
And the systems have not been upgraded

That said the X5 should give descent results
But the depths may not be precise

The soil varies in type
He says you are not supposed to disrupt it by walking on it

Try scanning a few times

I found the X1 Pro - kind of ambiguous
But only has 2 sensors

Will give it another project run

Perhaps someone here can help. I am building an Rov which wil drift off the bottom (300') which is covered with silt of varying thickness. Is there a sonar device I can incorporate into the design which can see into the silt from close distance, or perhaps a metal detector that I can drag behind which can be integrated into the ethernet cable already used for cameras and thrusters (Raspberry)? My targets are gold and iron exclusively.

"mediocre"... lol...

Too Funny...
tell that to the people I have known to have located and salvaged millions upon millions using ONLY this detector... AND THE greatest treasures ever located in the history of Metal detecting have been found with JW's.... and also the choice of detector from oil to law... and has been.
