Let's see a pic cheech. Don't let a certain member bully you. As someone else said in the other post, we always want to see pics!

If it had gull wing doors, it would look like a Delorean.

So I got a chance to take pictures of the rest of the posters so I thought I would share here they are The only one that's hard to identify is the 1979 one I was thinking it was Thunderbird but can't find one like it if anybody could recognize the poster thanks

That 1979 poster looks like some variations of the Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. Maybe concept cars?

If there is one poster I need it is that one with the yellow benz! That is one sexy car!

If the Benz posters are original of that time period they are likely worth a few bucks. Were they rolled up and kept together ? They all appear to be torn in the same spot.

Yes they were all rolled up together inside the same tube I've been trying to find out if they are original I sent some photos to heritage auctions they tell me they think their reproductions but reading the description in the link that I posted on here mine matches the same thing in the link so I have no clue I called heritage action here locally trying to set up an appointment waiting on a response

A few of them have this written on it on the side

Thought I'd throw in a little update I got this email today

I have to set up an appointment with heritage here locally so they can mail it off to the poster expert and then he will determine if they're authentic then hopefully they will be end of July auction I will probably try to keep one for myself thanks for all the replies as I learn something I will pass it on so everybody else can put it in their memory banks for further use

P.s to be continued

WAY COOL! Keep us posted or post up the online catalog auction when it comes time if A) you're comfortable doing so and B) end up consigning them at all. haha Congrats

Just wanted to say very nice posters! To heck with the electric car literature, lol.

OK so here's an update I just got back from heritage auction I can say that I really don't feel 100% satisfied with the answer and I'll try to explain the best I can
So here it goes when I showed up we pull the posters out and she said they were beautiful but you don't think that they're originals because they have a little glassy shine some more than others and that they should have a matte finish she didn't understand why would they put English writing on there she understood the German writing and one has French writing on it so she took some pictures of them and a few small videos and send them in an email to a gentleman that she called on the phone and she was trying to explain them over the phone to him and she told him that her gut feeling is that they are not originals then she asked him should the paper be thick or Thicker paper and he replied but I have no idea what he told her and I don't even know what he told her about the shine then she she made the remark I don't think Mercedes sent cars over here in the 20s I replied I'm too young to know that for sure but I believe that they did and then she agreed with me ( in 1952 stand corrected) Then she sent a photo of the writing on the side of one of the posters and I believe that is when the gentleman stated that they are not originals and that's when she told me so my thing is that she's a jewelry expert not so much a poster expert and she was going by her gut feeling not in my opinion based on actual results or physically dealing with posters so I'll try to do some more research I have a few questions if anyone can answer please chime in thanks for all the help

1-when did Mercedes-Benz start selling in the states or started advertising in the states which may explain the English writing

2-what would a poster look like from the 20s did they make them with Gloss or semi gloss or were they all made Matt finish

3-Should I email the expert in Texas where they were originally going to be shipped and talk to him and tell him my thoughts and see what it would cost to ship it to him to look at in person on my dime

4-try to find another poster appraiser if so any good recommendations

5-if these are not originals wouldn't there be more out on the market and more information

I'm not real concerned if they are originals or reproductions I only paid two bucks for them all I'm sure I can make my money back on them I would just hate to sell them as originals and they be fakes or hate to sell them as fakes and they be originals

Well I found a few on worthpoint but they are in smaller sizes and I can't see prices

After registering to Worth point The prices are all over the place so I'm more convinced that they are just reproductions

If they are from the 80's, and they represent the 20s to the 50s, wouldn't that make them reproductions?
