The following is a list of relics and artifacts most commonly encountered by a searcher at battle or camp sites.

3. Principal Types of Small Arms Ammunitions:
a. The widely used 58 cal. minie.
b. Williams Vleaner 58 cal.
c. CS Enfield 577 cal. import
d. Spencer 56//52 cal.
e. Round Ball 69 cal. for Smooth Bore Muskets
f. Buck and Ball 69 cal.
4.Percussion Caps
A small copper cap with four slits on the sides for igniting powder in a gun.
5. Canteens:
US Bulls Eye
CS Tin Type
6. Stamped Brass Hat Insignias
Small Bugle - Infantry
Crossed Cannons - Artillery
Crossed Swards - Cavalry
7. Standard Civil War Federal Horse Bit
Marked US Brass.
CS bit usually Iron with rosettes bearing the letter "C"
8. Small Iron Knapsack Hasks
9. Sholder Scales
Made of stamp brass and were attached to the coat by a wing stud screwed to the coat on top of the sholder by the collar for protection against sabre blows.
10. Stencils
Stencils were made of brass and varied in size usually with name, company letter, and regiment.
11. Entrenching Tools
They included saws, felling axes, shovels, and picks.
12. Pocket Knives, Folding
13. Round Led Disks/Chips
Made of flattened lead bars or bullets; used for poker chips, or checkers.
14. Gun Sling Hooks
Made of Iron or Brass
15. Ball Screw
Made for extracting a bullet from the barrel of a gun.
16. Civil War Bayonets
Made of Iron or Steel.
17. Spurs
Made of Brass
18. Bowie Knife
19. Picket Pin
Made of Iron. For staking cavalry horses.
20. Field Artillery Projectiles
