FOR 20 COP. - where it came from?

Perhaps from some type of vending machine? But then it wold be 20 Kop. rather than 20 cop.
Thats my best guess.

Looks like a little hinged door such as the type on a coin return.

I agree with BigCy...

Can you translate what the others are saying about it for us? Are there any ideas?

Pierwsze wrażenie - kawałek uchwytu od szelek takich cywilnych... Taka sugestia...
First impression - a piece of braces (trousers suspender), buckle of it. Not military. Just a guess.

That's the only idea.
All the rest, is a free talk.

The swivel pin on the bottom appears to be a hinge. I would think a coin return flap would hinge on the top. Maybe it is where the money goes in. What does 20 cop. mean? Is it in the Polish language?

Hello Piorek,
Is "FOR" a Polish word?
Is "COP." a Polish abbreviation?

Hi,
this is not a Polish word and abbreviation. On this land we find many items from Polish, German, Russian and US Army, there is mix everything.
We think the "COP" is abbreviation of English language.

My guess agrees with it being a Change Pocket Lid.

maby slot machine ? or change maker.

"COP" maybe - Variant form of kopeck

SEE Slot to Lock door till you are allowed to Open it.
or it Opens & Spills.

Cop could be slang for Receive also "TAKE"

ie : "Cop a Feel" Sorry :P

It does resemble a vending machine door like a gum ball one. Except that the one by our Polish friends would be upside down.

DG AND JEFF!!!

I was only implying that by being upside down it was not from a gum ball machine. You trouble makers.

Besides, It is probably British.

My Polish Amigos. I was not making fun.

No I caught it. Just Pesting.
I think they have a Sense of Humor.

as I said the Latch would Release the door causing it to drop.

you would then reach in or it would maybe just spill
into a tray.
